Eligibility for the RoDTEP Export Incentive Scheme

The Government of India has notified the Remission of Duties or Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP) Scheme with an aim to provide relief to the export sector which was impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The scheme will provide export incentives to exporters in the form of a duty credit scrip for payment of taxes/duties. The scheme will be administered by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). RoDTEP Scheme is a new export incentive scheme that has been introduced by the Indian government as a replacement for the existing Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Scheme and the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS). Under the RoDTEP Scheme, eligible exporters will be able to claim a rebate on the taxes and duties paid on inputs used for the manufacture of goods or services that are exported.
